If you need to use public transport, you need to purchase a myki card - the name of the public transport ticket, in the area of Melbourne and some other regional cities, such as Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and etc. You can simply purchase a myki card from a staffed train station, a 7-Eleven store, or a store that has a myki sign attached to the store front.
如果你想要乘坐公共交通,在墨尔本和一些偏远城市,比如Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo等等,你需要购买一张myki卡 - 公共交通卡的名字。很简单,你可以从有窗口工作人员的火车站,一个7-Eleven便利店,或是在店面处含有myki标志的小店里买到一张myki卡。
1. Top Up Your Myki(给你的myki充值)
You can simply top up you myki at the place where you bought your myki, or recharge at an automatic recharging machine, which is more convenient. Automatic recharging machine can be found in any train station (may have exception, but very rare), and some tram stations. Another way to top up your myki is online through the myki website, but you need to wait several minutes for the recharge to appear in your account.
你只需要在你购买myki的地方充值,或更方便的是在自动充值机上充值。你能在任意一个火车站(可能有特殊情况,不过几率很小)及一些电车站找到自动充值机。另一个方法是登录myki的网站来为你的myki充值,但是你需要等待几分钟才能在你的账户里看到你充值的金额。
2. City Loop Train Service(环市中心线路火车)
While you travel on a train in Melbourne, you will find the "via city loop" on the display screen. This means this train is a city loop service. City loop train service will go and stop at locations around the city. When you board a train from the city area, you normally will board a city loop train. When you travel to the city area, depends on the time and train line you take, you will board a city loop train or not. If you need to go to a city station other than Flinders Street, you need to take a city loop train. If you are not sure, you can look at the display screen (when you wait the train) to see the locations the current train will stop.

3. Touch on and Touch off Your Myki(上车及下车刷myki卡)
When you board a public transport, the only way to have a valid ticket is to touch your myki card to the card reader. You will hear two beep sound and see green light/tick to indicate a successful touch, or you will hear three "bump" sound and see red light/cross, which could be touch the wrong card or negative balance in your account (you can successfully touch on with any balance of zero or above). The public transport driver will not ask you to show a ticket or check if you have a ticket. However, it is your responsibility to have a valid ticket when you take any public transport. Not having a valid ticket will receive penalties when found by government staff. When you take off the public transport, please also remember to touch the myki card again to the card reader, and the fee will be deducted from your account automatically. Myki card readers are green (balance checking readers are blue, do not be confused), and are located at the entrance and exit of train station, and inside the tram & bus.

4. CBD Free Tram Zone (市中心免费电车区域)
When you take a tram in the CBD free tram zone, you do not need to touch your myki card. You will find a sign which says "you are in the free tram zone". However, if you need to go beyond the free tram zone, even just one stop, you need to touch your myki card.
当你在市中心免费电车区域内乘坐电车时,你不需要刷你的myki卡。你会看到一个标志写着"you are in the free tram zone"。但是,如果你需要到免费电车区域以外的地方,即使只是一站路,你也需要刷你的myki卡。
